Sarah Bauerle Danzman

Sarah Bauerle Danzman is a CELIS Advisory Fellow. She is an Associate Professor of International Studies at Indiana University Bloomington, a non-resident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, and a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. In 2019–2020, she served as a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellow at the U.S. Department of State, where she worked as a Policy Advisor staffing the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.

She advises U.S. ally and partner governments on investment screening design and implementation. She is Editor-in-Chief of Law & Geoeconomics and author of Merging Interests: When Domestic Firms Shape FDI Policy, and writes widely on investment screening and economic security in scholarly and policy outlets.
