Shokhrukh Bekmurzaev

Shokhrukh Bekmurzaev is CELIS Assistant Country Reporter for Uzbekistan.

Shokhrukh obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Jurisprudence from Tashkent State University of Law and LL.M. degree in International Business Law from Ghent University. He had worked in banking sector almost four years before starting his LL.M. which is fully funded by Uzbekistan Government Scholarship. Furthermore, Shokhrukh is an attendee of Paris International Academy for Arbitration Law 2022 session on a full scholarship basis.

Since he has a huge interest towards International Investment Law and Investment Treaty Arbitration, he has written his master thesis on the EU – Uzbekistan investment relationships focusing on BLEU – Uzbekistan BIT.
