Thijs De Cuyper

Thijs De Cuyper is CELIS Assistant Country Reporter for Belgium.

Thijs De Cuyper is a doctoral researcher and teaching assistant at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, where he is part of the Institute for Commercial- and Insolvency Law. He obtained a master's degree from the same university with a specialization in economic, international and European law. After his graduation from the University of Leuven he participated in the LL.M. programme of the Humboldt University in Berlin to deepen his knowledge in the field of arbitration and investment law. His current research focusses on a comparative analysis of domestic investment screening mechanisms, as well as a variety of topics related to the legal dimension of recent evolutions in geo-economics.
