Daniel Zigo

Mgr. Daniel Zigo, PhD., LL.M. (1993) is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava, where he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.) degree in 2021 in the doctoral program in Business and Financial Law. He earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in 2021 upon completing studies at Tsinghua University in Beijing, specializing in Chinese law.

Professionally, he has worked in international law firms, at the Public Procurement Office, and as the director of the Innovation Center for Industrial Property at the Faculty of Law, Comenius University. Since 2021, he has been an assistant professor at the Institute of Clinical Legal Education at the Faculty of Law, Comenius University, and since 2024, he has also been the Deputy Dean for Student Activities at the Faculty of Law, Comenius University.

He has participated in study and research stays abroad at the International Anti-Corruption Academy in Vienna (2017), where he is a member of the alumni club, at Galway Business School in Ireland (2022), and at National Taiwan University (2024). He is a member of the Sylff network and a holder of scholarships from the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund, the Chinese Government Scholarship, and the research Taiwan Fellowship.

Dr. Zigo is the author of scientific articles, co-author of textbooks on commercial law, commentaries on laws, and a member of research teams for grant projects (APVV and KEGA). He actively participates in domestic and international scientific and professional events and is also engaged in teaching and research activities. His areas of expertise include corporate law, contract law, public procurement, international trade law, and clinical legal education.
