Joanna Kirstine Thomsen currently serves as Head of Event and Sponsor Relations at the CELIS Institute, where she is responsible for developing high-level events, cultivating strategic partnerships, and creating meaningful opportunities for engagement across the CELIS community.

With a professional background in events and relationship-building, Joanna is passionate about bringing the right people together and creating value through strong networks and purposeful connections. Her work focuses on designing environments where leaders from government, industry, academia, and private practice can exchange perspectives, build lasting relationships, and turn conversations into meaningful collaboration.

At CELIS, she combines event strategy with sponsor and stakeholder relations, helping shape experiences that go beyond traditional conferences and foster a strong international community around investment screening and economic security.
